Carson City

Two days after we got back from Florida, Chris and I left for Carson City for the city's Annual Police Motor Competition. (Mom and Dad watched the girls - Thanks again - you guys rock!) Chris, Alann, Daryl, & Duaine drove up to Carson City while Kristi and I flew. We thought it was a great idea, BUT, the airplane ride was extremely rough and Kristi and I thought we were going to die several times! Honestly, we came very close to holding hands! But, once we were safely on the ground, we drove to Carson and had an awesome weekend! We drove up to Tahoe one evening and ate at Izzy Burger - if you ever go to Tahoe, that is a must! Saturday was the competition and although Chris didn't do as well as he did in Phoenix, a fellow Metro officer, Alann, kept it in the family with a 1st place trophy! Chris did get 1st in Last Man Standing and had to beat out a BMW and a Honda for it. Daryl got 1st place on the obstacle course (Duaine got second after his little bro!) BUT, Duaine kicked butt on the slow ride and took a huge 1st. Plus, Daryl and Duaine (otherwise known as the Cowley Brothers) took 2nd in the pair ride. It was a lot of fun, and in true Metro fashion, they boys cleaned house!
